Fan filter unit (FFU) is a motorized air filtering equipment. It is used to supply clean air to clean rooms, laboratories, medical facilities, data center, semi-conductor manufacturing units or microenvironments by removing harmful airborne particles from re-circulating air. The units can be installed within the system’s ceiling grid, walls or floor mounted . Large clean rooms require a proportionally large number of FFUs, which in some cases may range from several hundred to several thousand.
